Friday June 19th-
We had a fabulous welcome back mixer at Zack and Jim's Hog Creek Icehouse heading towards Speegleville off Hwy 6. The classmates were unaware that what awaited them were nametags with their high school yearbook picture on them!! Now, what was comforting for many, was there wasn't much difference between the picture ID and the classmates. So many looked so youthful and like they have really taken care of themselves over the past twenty years. Way to go Class of '89!!!
What started out as a cool quiet night ended up chattery (is that a word?), hot and fun with lots of classmates and their guests piling upstairs to be re-acquainted with old friends. Since it is 100 degree weather here in Waco, it didn't take long for things to heat up! However, cool drinks and the sun finally going down helped squelch the heat. Hog Creek did have the most beautiful patio that was well taken advantage of to relax in the dreamy Texas breeze. For a moment I thought half of the classmates left or went downstairs but later realized they retired to the patio. Most either stayed inside or out on the patio until we had to literally force folks to leave the place well after midnight. Night number one...done and over!
Enjoy the pics of Friday night...if you know the password.
